We're excited that we've completed the first month of the Eternal Community League with a very successful Invitational last Sunday. Moving into the month of September, we've been listening very carefully to the feedback provided by our viewers and players, as well as our own observations. All of the tournaments we currently run will continue to be held, and we are just making some slight tweaks to the structure.
With The Fall of Argenport dropping today, I wanted to take this opportunity to discuss Markets and how they will affect competitive Eternal gameplay. For more information on markets, check out the DWD announcement here. Up until this point, almost all Eternal tournaments have been best of three (Bo3) with sideboarding. We have confirmation from Scarlatch that the officially supported competitive play will not use sideboards, but will include Bo3 in some events. We do not know yet what the rest of OP will look like so I will not be addressing that today.
Haunting Scream: one of the more salt inducing cards in Eternal. It is also one of the most versatile. Although Haunting Scream has seen play in a variety of decks over the course of Eternal’s lifetime, I’m going to focus on the recent iterations of Felnscar Scream for this article. I will try to discuss how the deck works, different options in playstyle and construction, and how to beat it.
